My Invitation is Here
I haven’t opened it yet. It’s funny. For the past couple of months, I’ve been contemplating what I was going to do when I received my invitation. Would I open it right away? Would I wait? Which paper would I look at to find out which country? Would it be the one in the pretty blue package or the cover letter? Today, when I saw it there lying on the ground next to the door, I was not very happy at all. I cannot open it.
I called my mom…We talked about it. We are hopeful that everything is going to be okay. We’ll be receiving results hopefully by Wednesday. Wednesday, I’ll make my decision. That’s 7 days. Until the meantime, I’m still going to be brainstorming when I’m going to open it. Don’t worry; I’ll keep you guys updated. Thank you for being so supportive. It feels like a soap opera right now, so it doesn’t even seem real. Thanks.

Well, my experience is that it’s pretty hard to miss the cover letter. Also, my assignment packet says I had seven calendar days to respond starting from the day I got the packet, not ten. Ten days to submit the resume and aspiration statement, but seven to accept. I really really hope everything works out (with your PC dreams obviously, but mainly with your family).
Thank you for everything. I decided to open my invitation today, and purposefully avoided the cover letter. lol. I have exactly 7 days to answer. I think I’m going to prepare two separate emails for accepting and declining this weekend. I’ll also try to prepare the other documents in hope that everything will work out in our favor.
haha I saw that, it was great. power of positive thinking, right?
and CONGRATS on Kenya. so awesome you got your #1. I think we can add that to the positive thinking too
Thanks! We find out Wednesday…
Hey! I’m applying to the PC and I follow your blog occasionally when it pops up on PCJ and I just wanted to say that I hope everything is alright with your current family situation. I cannot even imagine the position you are in at the moment, but it will all work out in the end for you, of that I am certain… it always does! Keep your chin up and congratulations on your invitation. Cheers!
Thank you for your positive comment. I hope your application process goes well, also!
