Epigenetics
In my molecular biology class, we are learning about epigenetics. It blows my mind! I’m posting this awesome video to celebrate the decent grade I got on my test today. If you have about oh…say… 48 minutes to spare, you’d really enjoy this video. No joke.
If you finished it…let me know what you think!

Fascinating! (With profound implications)
I know a person who was born prematurely and with some serious medical complications. It is thought that this was due to the taking of a specific prescribed medication by his maternal grandmother during her pregnancy with the man’s mother. It is noteworthy that his mother had no significant medical problems at birth or later, even during her gestation with her son. Also, his sister had no medical complications either in utero, during delivery or afterward. So that prescribed medication (back in the 1950s) caused birth defects after skipping a generation and then only in a male child. This has been studied and that medication is no longer utilized.
Thank you for posting this video.
That’s a crazy story!
Yeah, epigenetics is very fascinating. With more research, I think there will be more explanations for other diseases. I’m really curious how far it will go.
