Is anyone else getting excited that the 2011 staging dates are starting to appear on PCwiki? I know I am. People are getting invitations around 6 months in advanced. That sounds crazy to me. I want to know who these lucky people are!

I have my countries narrowed down to 4 and I keep checking to see if their staging dates are listed yet – I don’t know if I want them to be listed or not though… it would mean that the programs are filling up and I’m not cleared yet! Oh the agony… hahaha
I never thought of it that way! Now I’m just going to hope I don’t see dates for Ghana, Lesotho, or Kenya any time soon.
The invites that have gone out already for 2011 are probably for people who missed their original nomination for a Fall departure. That’s what I’ve noticed so far from reading blogs.
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. That’s a little comforting to know that if we do fail to make our original nomination, they’ll place us ASAP.

and I say that because I’m one of them! The people who are getting their invites for 2011 are those who missed their original nomination and were being considered for new placement. Placement just finished filling all the Fall quarter placements and are now workingt through the “priority” list of those who got bumped … I’m still waiting for my call regarding a possible invite. I was told I would hear by the end of September and that I was one of the priority candidates since I missed that first nomination … so, don’t necessarily think they are lucky! We’ve gone through the whole waiting process and then some

I am with Kylene. I missed my May 2010 nomination and recvd medical clearance on 30 July…and then the true waiting period began.
I am thrilled with the 2011 placements appearing. I am ready to be one of them.
